Enable and Disable Waves in Specific Areas

Control Wave Spawning

Wavify Mod generates waves automatically in ocean and beach biomes, but you can manage where they appear using the mod's configuration options.

Accessing Configuration

Open your mod configuration folder and locate the Wavify settings file. Here you can:

  • Toggle waves on/off globally for the entire world
  • Exclude specific biomes from wave generation if you want calm water in certain areas
  • Adjust wave frequency to make oceans busier or more peaceful
  • Control wave height to customize how dramatic the swells appear

Reloading Changes

After editing the configuration file, return to your world and press F3 + A to reload all chunks. This forces the mod to re-read your settings and apply them immediately. You should see waves update within seconds.

If waves still don't appear after reloading, verify your configuration file has no syntax errors and that you saved it properly before reloading chunks.
