How to Change Your Cape Style in the Wavey Capes Mod

The Wavey Capes Mod ships with several cape styles, and switching between them is the fastest way to change how your cape feels as you walk, sprint, and fall. Each style uses a different physics model, so the same cape can look stiff and tidy or loose and flowy depending on your pick.

Opening the Cape Style Menu

1. Open your game menu and go to the mods list, then find Wavey Capes and open its config screen. Most players reach it through the standard mod config button rather than a keybind.

2. Look for the cape style or simulation option. You will see the available styles listed: Simulation V2, Simulation, Classic, and Dungeons.

3. Select a style and apply it. The change takes effect immediately, so you can watch your cape react without restarting the game.

Picking the Right Style

  • Simulation V2 is the default and the most dynamic. Choose it if you want your cape to sway side to side and react strongly to movement.
  • Simulation is the older physics model. Pick it if V2 feels too exaggerated for your taste.
  • Classic adds only a gentle bend, which suits players who want a subtle look.
  • Dungeons mimics the cape behaviour from Minecraft Dungeons, giving a distinctly different, snappier motion.

Cycle through them in-game and sprint, jump, and fall to compare. The difference is most obvious mid-air and while turning quickly.
