Make Water Reflections More Visible

Increase Reflection Strength

Open shader settings and locate the reflection intensity or mirror strength parameter. Increase this value to make reflections of the sky, clouds, and surrounding blocks more prominent and vivid on the water surface.

Adjust Water Surface Smoothness

Find the wave amplitude or surface roughness setting. Reducing wave intensity creates a calmer, smoother water surface that reflects light more clearly. Rougher water scatters reflections, making them less visible.

Optimize Viewing Angle

Reflections are most visible when you look at water at a shallow angle rather than straight down. Position yourself near the water's edge and look across the surface rather than directly into it to see reflections most clearly.

Time of Day Matters

Reflections are strongest during sunrise and sunset when the sun is low on the horizon. Midday reflections appear washed out due to the sun's high angle. Visit your water at different times to see when reflections look best with your current settings.
