Adjust Water Transparency and Clarity
Access Shader Settings
Open the shader options menu while in-game. This is typically found in your video settings under the shader configuration panel. Look for options related to water properties.
Modify Transparency Values
Locate the water alpha or transparency slider. Increasing this value makes water clearer and more see-through, revealing the underwater terrain below. Decreasing it makes water more opaque and solid-looking.
Fine-tune Reflection Intensity
Find the reflection strength or clarity setting. Higher values create sharper, more mirror-like reflections of the sky and surrounding blocks on the water surface. Lower values produce softer, more subtle reflections.
Test Your Changes
Stand near a body of water and observe how your adjustments affect visibility. Try different times of day—water appearance changes dramatically between sunrise, noon, and sunset due to the angle of light. Save your preferred settings once you find a balance between visual clarity and the aesthetic you want. Remember that higher transparency settings may impact performance on lower-end systems.
