Using Water Resistance

How Water Resistance Works

The Water Resistance potion effect protects you from water-based damage sources, but with an important limitation: it does not prevent drowning.

This potion is useful when facing hazards like underwater explosions or damage-dealing aquatic mobs. Once you obtain and drink a Water Resistance potion, the effect will negate non-drowning water damage for its duration.

Note that you will still take damage and lose air underwater normally—this potion only blocks specific water hazards, making it a specialized tool for aquatic exploration and combat rather than a general underwater survival solution.
