Understand Watch Activation and Effects

Activation Mechanics

The watch activates automatically when you would take fatal damage—no manual trigger needed. Upon activation, it provides:

• Immediate health restoration to half a heart
• Temporary Regeneration effect to restore additional health
• Absorption effect for temporary damage reduction
• Fire Resistance to protect against environmental hazards

After Activation

Once the watch activates, it is consumed and disappears from your inventory. You'll need to equip another watch to maintain protection for subsequent fatal hits.

Sound and Feedback

When the watch activates, you'll hear a distinctive sound effect that confirms the protection triggered. This audio cue is important for recognizing when you've been saved, especially during chaotic battles where visual feedback might be missed.

Cooldown Considerations

There is no cooldown between watch activations—you can use multiple watches in rapid succession if you take multiple fatal hits. This makes carrying several watches essential for surviving extended dangerous situations.
