How to Respawn a Wandering Trader with the Spawn Command

Requirements

The mod adds a command to summon a Wandering Trader on demand, but it requires cheats to be enabled in your world. If you're playing on a server, you'll need operator permissions. If cheats are off in a singleplayer world, you can enable them from the world settings, though this may disable advancements depending on your setup.

Running the Command

Open the chat window and type the command exactly as the mod defines it: /wandering-trader spawn. Press enter, and a Wandering Trader should appear near your position, typically accompanied by its llamas. This is useful when you've despawned a trader by accident, when you want to trade but none have spawned naturally, or when you're testing trader-related builds.

If the command doesn't work, double-check that you typed the hyphen correctly and that cheats are actually enabled. Some servers restrict command usage even for players who think they have permission.

Practical Uses

  • Bring a trader to a specific spot for a trading station build.
  • Restock after despawning a trader you actually wanted.
  • Test llama behavior or trader AI in a controlled area.
  • Summon traders in creative or testing worlds without waiting for random spawns.

Remember that spawning a trader this way is not the same as a natural spawn — it won't respect the usual spawn conditions, which is exactly why it's handy.
