How to Make a Wandering Trader Leave Without Killing It

Using the Despawn Button

Open the trader's trade screen by right-clicking it as usual. In the top-left corner of the GUI you'll see a dedicated despawn button added by this mod. Click it, and the trader disappears in a puff of particles instead of dropping items or dying.

This is the cleanest way to get rid of a trader because it leaves no drops, no angry llamas, and no lingering mobs. If particle effects are enabled in the config, you'll see the visual confirmation that the despawn worked.

What Happens to the Llamas

Traders usually arrive with two leashed llamas. By default, the mod can also despawn those llamas when the trader leaves, but this behavior is configurable. If the config option for llama despawning is turned off, the llamas will remain behind after the trader vanishes. In that case, you'll need to deal with them separately — either lead them away, or leave them be. Check your config file if you want the llamas to always disappear alongside the trader.

When to Use It

Use the button whenever a trader spawns somewhere inconvenient, blocks a doorway, or offers nothing you want. It's faster than waiting for the natural despawn timer and avoids the hassle of killing the trader and its llamas.
