Fix Missing Blocks and Mobs When Using Chloride

Disable Conflicting Chloride Options

If you're running the Chloride mod alongside Vulkanic Light Engine, certain Chloride features can cause blocks and mobs to disappear. You must disable these options to avoid rendering conflicts:

In Video Settings

  • Go to the Performance tab
  • Turn off Fast Chests
  • Turn off Fast Beds

In Video Settings (Entities Tab)

  • Turn off Max Entity Distance
  • Turn off Max Monster Distance
  • Turn off Max Block Entity Distance

Alternative: Edit Config File

If you prefer, you can also disable these options by editing config/chloride-client.toml directly and setting the relevant options to false.

Once these are disabled, your blocks and mobs should render normally while using both mods together. The Vulkan backend and Chloride's optimizations can then coexist without conflicts.
