Customize UI Colors and Elements with Respackopts

Access the Customization Tool

Respackopts is a built-in configuration system that lets you fine-tune the Volcanic Dark Resource Pack's appearance without editing files manually. Open your resource pack settings and locate the Respackopts menu—this is usually accessible through the resource pack options screen.

Adjust UI Colors

Once in Respackopts, you'll find sliders and color pickers for key UI elements:

• Menu backgrounds: Modify the obsidian-inspired darkness level to suit your preference
• Text contrast: Brighten or dim text overlays for better readability
• Accent colors: Customize highlights on buttons, selected items, and borders
• HUD elements: Adjust the opacity and color of your hotbar, health bar, and status indicators

Save and Apply Changes

After adjusting settings, confirm your changes. The pack will reload automatically, and your customizations persist across sessions. If you want to reset to defaults, Respackopts provides a reset option within the menu.

Experiment Gradually

Start with small adjustments to contrast and brightness. Test changes in different lighting conditions—both in bright menus and dark caves—to ensure readability remains strong across all gameplay scenarios.
