Create an Infinite Water Source

Why Water Matters

Water is essential for farming, fighting fires, and powering your cobblestone generator. Your starter supplies include limited water, so creating an infinite source early prevents resource shortages.

Building Your Water Pool

1. Dig a hole at least 2 blocks wide and 2 blocks deep

2. Place water in two opposite corners of the hole (diagonal placement)

3. Water will flow toward the center and stop, creating an infinite source

4. You can now collect water with a bucket indefinitely without depleting the pool

Placement Strategy

Build your infinite water pool close to your farming area and cobblestone generator. This saves time running back and forth with buckets. If you're worried about accidental spills or mobs contaminating it, build low walls around the pool or place it in a covered structure. You can create multiple pools in different areas of your base for convenience, especially as your island grows larger.
