Tuning or Disabling Void Fog When It Hurts Visibility

Void fog is atmospheric until it's costing you a death in a ravine. If the effect is making deep mining miserable, you have options short of uninstalling.

Check for Config Options

Many builds of this mod expose settings through a config file in your instance's config folder. Look for entries controlling fog density, the Y-level where fog begins, or an on/off toggle. Open the file with a plain text editor, change values, and save. Restart the game for changes to apply. Exact key names vary, so read the comments in the file rather than guessing.

Working Around It In-Game

If no config exists, adapt your playstyle. Carry extra light sources and place them densely in deep areas so you always have a lit reference point. Use a bed or respawn anchor near your mining base so a fog-blinded fall isn't a full loss. Night Vision helps you see through the gloom, though it won't remove the fog itself.

When to Just Turn It Off

If you're building a large underground project and need clear sightlines, temporarily removing the mod is the cleanest fix. Re-add it when you want the mood back.
