Enable Glowing Ores in Deep Caves Without Shaders

Activate Ore Glow

VJ's STYLE includes built-in ore luminescence that works without requiring shader mods. Once installed, ores automatically emit light in dark environments.

Steps:

1. Load your world with the resource pack active

2. Descend into deep caves below Y-level 0

3. Look for ores—they will glow with their own light source

4. No additional configuration needed; the feature activates by default

Troubleshooting Visibility

If ores aren't glowing:

• Confirm the resource pack is enabled in your resource pack menu
• Check that you're in a dark enough area; surface ores won't glow as noticeably
• Ensure your brightness setting isn't maxed out, which can wash out the glow effect
• Try moving closer to ore deposits; the glow is most visible within a few blocks

This feature is especially useful for finding diamonds, emeralds, and other valuable minerals during cave exploration. The glow persists whether you're using vanilla rendering or OptiFine, making ore hunting more efficient without sacrificing performance.
