Maximize Sunbeam Visibility Through Foliage
Access Volumetric Lighting Controls
Open the shader menu and find the Volumetric Lighting, God Rays, or Sunbeams section. This controls how visible light rays appear when shining through leaves, clouds, and cave openings.
Increase Ray Intensity and Density
Raise the volumetric light strength slider to make sunbeams more prominent and visible. Higher values create dramatic rays that pierce through dense forests and cave entrances.
If a ray density or sample count option exists, increasing it adds more detail to the rays, though this may impact performance. Start moderate and adjust based on your frame rate.
Adjust Ray Color and Saturation
Vivid Pixel Rays emphasizes saturated colors, so sunbeams should carry warm golden or orange tones during day and cooler blue tones at dusk. Check if color controls exist and enhance them to match the biome's atmosphere.
Test in Optimal Conditions
Sunbeams are most visible in forests, jungles, and cave entrances during midday. Position yourself to see light filtering through tree canopies. Adjust settings until rays feel impactful without overwhelming the scene.
