Display Item Textures and Hotbar Status in Your HUD

Accessing Item and Hotbar Data

The mod can render item textures and show which hotbar slot is currently selected. This creates a custom inventory display separate from your default hotbar.

Adding Item Icons

1. In your configuration, enable item rendering

2. Specify which hotbar slots to display (all nine, or just a subset)

3. Set the position and size for each icon

4. The mod will automatically pull textures from your current items

Showing Selected Slot Indicator

Add a visual indicator—such as a colored border, highlight, or number label—to show which slot is active. Configure the highlight color and thickness to match your HUD theme.

Combining with Text Labels

You can pair item icons with text showing item counts or names. Position labels below or beside icons for clarity. This is useful for tracking consumables like food or building blocks during gameplay.

Testing Different Layouts

Experiment with horizontal or vertical arrangements. Some players prefer a compact single-row display; others want a larger, more visible layout. Adjust spacing and sizing until it feels natural for your playstyle.
