Getting Started with Vivid Horizon Shaders

Installation and Basic Use

Vivid Horizon Shaders modifies how light behaves in your world while keeping Minecraft's familiar block appearance. Once installed, the shader automatically applies enhanced lighting to sunlight and moonlight, making the environment more colorful and visually distinct.

The mod is designed to work across different hardware. On older computers, it runs without performance issues. On newer systems, you can expect smoother performance with improved visual quality. Water rendering is optimized to look clearer without causing lag.

No configuration is required to start—the shader works immediately after installation. If you experience performance problems, try disabling the mod or checking your graphics settings. The fantasy-style lighting is always active and cannot be toggled per-world.
