Enhance Bloom Effects from Light Sources
Find Bloom Controls
Open shader settings and locate the bloom or glow section. This shader spreads soft bloom lighting around torches, lanterns, and other luminous blocks.
Customize Bloom Intensity
Adjustable parameters typically include:
- Bloom Strength: How bright and far the glow extends from light sources. Higher values create more dramatic halos.
- Bloom Radius: How wide the light spreads. Larger radius = softer, more diffuse glow.
- Bloom Threshold: Which light sources trigger bloom. Lower thresholds make dimmer lights glow too.
Create Atmosphere
Increase bloom for cozy, cinematic interiors lit by torches and lanterns. Reduce it if bloom washes out details or makes bright areas hard to see. The sweet spot depends on your monitor and personal preference.
Test in Different Lighting
Build a small room with torches, then visit it at night and during day. Check how bloom interacts with sunlight. Visit caves and compare bloom on lanterns versus natural light. Adjust until light sources feel warm and inviting without obscuring gameplay clarity.
