How to Disable Specific Visuality Reforged Particles You Find Annoying

Not every particle effect suits every playstyle. Some players love the extra sparkle, while others find certain effects distracting during PvP, redstone work, or building. Fortunately, Visuality Reforged lets you disable particles individually rather than all at once.

Find the Right Toggle

Open the mod's config through your mod menu, or edit visuality/config.toml directly. The config is organized by particle category, so look for the entry matching the effect bothering you. For example, if slime blob particles are making a mess of your slime farm, find the slime-related option. If skeleton hit particles obscure your aim, find the mob hit option.

Turn It Off Without Losing Everything

Set only that category to disabled and leave the rest enabled. This keeps the immersive effects you enjoy while removing the one that gets in your way. Save the config and, if you edited the file manually, restart the game.

Test In a Safe Spot

Before heading into a fight or a build, spawn the relevant mob or trigger the effect in a test area to confirm the particle is gone. If it is still showing, double-check you edited the correct category and that the file saved properly. Because the mod is client-side, these changes only affect what you see, not other players.
