Increase Health Tiers for More Detailed Damage Feedback

Understand Health Tiers

Health tiers divide a mob's total health into visual stages. By default, the mod uses 6 tiers (0–5), meaning you see 6 distinct wound progression levels as a mob loses health. More tiers provide finer detail about exactly how much health remains.

Adjust Tier Count

Open the damage tiers setting and increase the value (up to 10 tiers maximum). Each additional tier creates a new visual checkpoint, so a mob's wounds will change appearance more frequently as it takes damage.

Balance Detail vs. Clarity

More tiers give you precise health information at a glance, useful for tactical combat where you need to know if an enemy is nearly dead. However, too many tiers can make wound progression feel cluttered. Start with 7–8 tiers and adjust based on your preference.

Test the Difference

Fight a mob with your new tier setting and compare it to your previous configuration. Notice how wound marks now update more frequently as health drops. If the visual changes feel too subtle or too frequent, fine-tune the tier count until the feedback matches your combat style.
