Customize Wound Colors for Specific Mobs

Access Color Overrides

Open your Visual Health Mod configuration file. Locate the color overrides section—this is where you define custom wound appearance for individual mob types.

Set Custom Colors

For each mob you want to customize, enter its name and assign a hex color code. For example, you might set spiders to display bright cyan wounds instead of the default light blue, or give zombies deep purple marks.

You can also enable glowing effects on specific mobs by adding an emissive flag to their color entry. This is particularly useful for mobs you fight in dark areas, like cave spiders or Endermen in unlit spaces.

Apply and Test

Save your configuration changes. Load into a world and spawn or find the mob you customized. The wounds should now display in your chosen color. If the change doesn't appear immediately, try moving away from the mob and back into render distance.

Fine-Tune as Needed

If your custom color is too bright or too dark against the mob's texture, adjust the hex value and reload. Test against different lighting conditions to ensure visibility both in daylight and caves.
