Optimize Vistas Mod for Better Performance
Identify Performance Bottlenecks
If your main menu feels sluggish or causes frame rate drops, Vistas Mod's real-time rendering may need optimization. Check your system's performance while the menu is open.
Reduce Rendering Load
Lower the following settings in your Vistas configuration:
- Render Distance: Decrease the visible landscape range significantly. This is the most impactful setting for performance.
- Terrain Generation Complexity: Reduce procedural generation detail to lighten CPU load.
- Particle Effects: Disable rain, snow, or other dynamic particles if enabled.
- Lighting Quality: Switch to simpler lighting calculations if available.
Disable Unnecessary Features
Consider turning off features you don't actively use. Some configurations allow disabling Vistas entirely on lower-end systems while keeping the mod installed.
Monitor Results
After each adjustment, return to the main menu and observe frame stability. Make incremental changes rather than drastic cuts to find the sweet spot between visual appeal and smooth performance.
