How to Find Diamonds and Emeralds Faster Using Visible Ores Plus

Diamond and emerald are the two ores players care about most, and they are also the two that are easiest to miss in vanilla because their textures blend into stone and deepslate. Visible Ores Plus makes both pop.

Where to Look

Diamonds generate deep, in the deepslate layers and below. Emeralds generate in mountain biomes, in single-block veins rather than clusters. Knowing this matters because the pack only helps you see them — it does not change where they spawn.

A Search Pattern That Works

• For diamonds, branch mine at the depth where deepslate dominates. Space your branches so you can see both walls as you walk.
• Sweep your cursor along the floor and ceiling too. Diamond veins often sit exposed on a cave floor rather than buried in a wall.
• For emeralds, go to a mountain or windswept biome and explore cave systems inside it. Because emerald veins are tiny, the bright green texture is your main advantage — you will spot a single block that vanilla would hide.
• Carry a water bucket. Cave exploration at diamond depth means lava, and the pack does not warn you about hazards.

Do not rely on the pack alone in unlit areas. Light every tunnel you branch, or you will walk past the exact block you are looking for.
