Maximizing Visibility When Mining at Night or Low Brightness

Adjusting Your Environment

The golden outline is most effective when you can see it clearly. If you play with low brightness settings or during late-night gaming sessions, the contrast may still be subtle.

Visibility Tips

Increase game brightness. Adjust your brightness slider in Video Settings to "Bright" or higher. This makes the golden outline pop against darker blocks without requiring external lighting mods.

Use portable light sources. Carry torches, lanterns, or soul lanterns and place them as you mine. The additional light makes the golden glow unmistakable.

Wear a helmet with enchantments. While not required, a helmet with Aqua Affinity or Respiration doesn't interfere with visibility and keeps you safe.

Clear debris as you find it. Mining ancient debris immediately after spotting it prevents you from losing track of its location in cluttered terrain.

Take breaks. Eye strain reduces your ability to spot visual details. Regular breaks help maintain focus during long mining sessions.

These adjustments ensure the resource pack's enhancement remains useful regardless of your playing conditions.
