Finding Ancient Debris Efficiently in the Nether
Optimal Mining Strategy
With the golden outline now visible on ancient debris, you can spot blocks much faster while strip mining. Focus your search between Y-levels where ancient debris spawns most frequently. Move systematically through tunnels rather than randomly, as the enhanced visibility makes it easier to scan large areas without missing blocks.
Best Practices
Use adequate lighting. Even with the golden outline, torches or lanterns help you see the contrast better against dark netherrack and blackstone.
Mine in straight lines. Create horizontal or vertical tunnels and advance methodically. The outline makes it simple to catch debris in your peripheral vision as you move.
Check all exposed surfaces. Ancient debris can generate on cave walls and ceilings. The golden glow makes these easier to spot than vanilla textures, so look up and around frequently.
Combine with strip mining. Traditional strip mining patterns work best—space your tunnels evenly and maintain consistent depth. The resource pack removes the guesswork of whether you've spotted all debris in an area.
This approach transforms debris hunting from tedious searching into straightforward resource gathering.
