Finding and Identifying Villages by Biome Type
Locating Villages in Your World
Villages Revamped Mod generates custom villages in six distinct biome types, each with unique architecture and layouts. To find villages efficiently:
Search in the correct biomes:
- Plains villages appear in flat grassland biomes with characteristic farmland layouts
- Taiga villages generate in snowy forest areas with log-heavy construction
- Desert villages spawn in sandy biomes with sandstone and terracotta builds
- Savanna villages appear in warm grassland with acacia wood features
- Snowy villages generate in snow-covered biomes with ice and snow block elements
- Cherry Grove villages spawn exclusively in cherry blossom forests with pink wood accents
Identifying Village Type
Once you spot a settlement, examine the building materials and layout. Each village type uses biome-appropriate blocks—cherry villages feature cherry wood, taiga uses spruce and dark oak, desert uses sandstone. The architectural style also differs significantly; plains villages tend toward simplicity while taiga structures are more elaborate.
Use the /locate command if available in your setup to find the nearest village structure quickly. Villages are typically larger and more detailed than vanilla versions, making them easier to spot from a distance.
