Choosing Your Farming Method

Decide between two approaches: hunting Endermen in the Overworld at night or building a farm in the End dimension. End-based farms are more efficient but require access to the End.

Building an Enderman Farm

Create a dark, enclosed space where Endermen spawn naturally. Use platforms at least 42 blocks above ground to encourage spawning. Add water channels or suffocation mechanisms to damage mobs, or use fall damage from a height. Collect dropped pearls in hoppers leading to chests.

Collecting Pearls Efficiently

If farming in the Overworld, hunt Endermen in dark areas during night cycles. Wear a pumpkin on your head to prevent aggravating them. Collect all dropped pearls and store them in organized chests.

Connecting Farm to Village

Once you have a steady pearl supply, transport pearls to your village and trade regularly with the Cleric. This creates a sustainable emerald generation system that requires minimal ongoing effort.
