Troubleshooting: Why Your Bulk Trade Stops Working

When bulk trading suddenly halts, it is almost always one of a few vanilla mechanics rather than a mod bug. Check these in order.

Villager-side causes

  • Trades exhausted: Each villager can only complete a limited number of trades before locking until it restocks.
  • Workstation missing or unlinked: If the villager cannot reach its workstation, it will not restock. Break and replace the workstation nearby, or move the villager closer to it.
  • Price changes: Demand can raise prices after repeated trades. If the offer looks worse, that is normal villager behavior, not a glitch.

Inventory-side causes

  • Full inventory: If the output cannot fit, the trade may not complete. Clear space before starting a big batch.
  • Wrong item in hand or slots: The mod still respects the trade's required inputs. Make sure you are holding or carrying the exact item the villager wants.
  • Items on the ground: If your inventory filled mid-trade, results may have dropped. Pick them up before they despawn.

Interface-side causes

If the trade screen behaves oddly, close and reopen it. If it still fails, move away and back so the villager reloads. Restarting the world is a last resort and rarely needed.
