Checking the Schedule First

When a villager appears inactive or won't trade, open their schedule using the V key. The timetable reveals whether they're currently in a rest period, sleeping, or scheduled for a different activity than you expected.

Villagers follow daily routines that include work hours at their job site blocks, rest periods where they wander or socialize, and sleep time. If your villager isn't at their workstation, they may simply be in a non-work phase of their day.

Adjusting Your Approach

Rather than assuming the villager is broken or stuck, use the schedule to plan around their routine. Return during their designated work hours, or ensure their job site block is accessible and unobstructed during those times.
