How to Control Trade Cycling and Zombie Villager Conversion Chance

Trade Cycling When Workstations Change

By default, breaking and replacing a villager's workstation can reroll its trades. Villager Config Mod lets you decide whether that happens. In the config, find the trade cycling option and set it to allow or prevent trade changes when the workstation is replaced. Disabling cycling is useful for trading halls where you want a villager's trades to stay fixed once you like them.

Setting Conversion Chance

Another config option controls the chance that a villager converts into a zombie villager when killed by a zombie. Lower it to make villagers tougher and reduce accidental losses, or raise it if you want more curing opportunities. The value is a probability, so set it somewhere between never and always depending on your preference.

Applying and Testing

Save the config and reload or restart. To test cycling, place a workstation, note the trades, break and replace it, and check whether trades changed. To test conversion, let a zombie attack a villager and observe the outcome over several attempts, since it is chance-based. Adjust both values until your world behaves the way you want.
