How to Configure Villager Discount Minimums and Maximums
Finding the Discount Options
The mod exposes discount settings through its config file, which controls how much of a price reduction a villager can apply to a trade. You set both a minimum and a maximum discount value, and the game picks a value within that range when a discount is earned. Open the config file for Villager Config Mod and locate the discount section.
Choosing Sensible Values
A higher maximum lets villagers drop prices dramatically, which is great for player-friendly servers but can trivialize trading. A tighter range keeps economies balanced. Set the minimum lower than the maximum, or the range collapses and every discount is identical. Save the file and restart the game or reload so the new values take effect.
Verifying In-Game
Cure a zombie villager or trigger a reputation-based discount and watch the resulting price. If prices barely move, your maximum may be too low. If everything becomes nearly free, lower the maximum. Adjust the range until trading feels right for your world, then leave the config alone so all future villagers use the same rules.
