Fixing a Hand That Is Off-Screen or Clipping Into Blocks

Diagnosing the Cause

A hand that vanishes, floats, or pokes through terrain is almost always the result of an extreme position or scale value in the View Model Mod config. Open the config screen from your mod menu and check the main hand and offhand values. If any offset is far from the default, that is your likely culprit.

Resetting and Rebuilding

Reset the affected hand to its default values first, confirm the hand reappears correctly in-game, then reintroduce your changes one axis at a time. Move the hand in small increments and test after each change rather than setting several values at once — this makes it obvious which setting causes the problem. If the hand clips into blocks when you walk close to walls, reduce the depth or forward offset so it sits further back.

Checking for Conflicts

If resetting does not help, another mod that alters the first-person view or animations may be overriding View Model Mod. Temporarily disable other view or animation mods and test again. Also confirm you are editing the correct profile — some setups keep separate configs per instance, so changes made in one profile will not appear in another. Once stable, save and re-test with several held items.
