Practice Bridging While Moving Sideways or Backward
Why Practice Directional Bridging?
In Bedwars combat, you won't always bridge straight forward. Enemies force you to strafe sideways or retreat while building. This map includes dedicated lanes to train these critical movements.
Sideways Bridging Drills
1. Find the sideways bridging practice lane
2. Stand at the start and begin moving perpendicular to your forward direction
3. Place blocks to your side while maintaining your lateral movement
4. Keep your crosshair positioned at the edge where blocks will land
5. Adjust your aim as you move—don't stop to place blocks
6. Complete the crossing without falling into the void
Backward Bridging Drills
1. Use the backward bridging lane
2. Sprint backward while placing blocks behind you
3. Use your crosshair to aim downward and behind your character
4. Maintain momentum without turning around to look
5. This trains your spatial awareness during retreats
Combat Application
These techniques are vital when defending your base or escaping enemy rushes. Practice until you can bridge in any direction without thinking.
