Master the Staircase Bridge Technique
What is Staircase Bridging?
Staircase bridging is a foundational technique where you place blocks in a diagonal ascending pattern while moving forward. This method is slower than speed bridging but more reliable for beginners and offers better protection.
How to Practice
1. Start on the designated staircase practice lane
2. Hold your blocks and position yourself at the starting pad
3. Place your first block at ground level ahead of you, then jump onto it
4. Immediately place the next block diagonally upward and forward
5. Continue this pattern, jumping and placing in rhythm
6. Focus on consistent timing rather than speed—accuracy builds confidence
7. Once you reach the far platform, reset and try to improve your rhythm
Tips for Success
- Keep your crosshair aimed at the edge where you want to place blocks
- Jump slightly before placing each block to maintain momentum
- Practice until the motion becomes automatic—this builds muscle memory
- Use this technique in actual Bedwars matches when you need a secure crossing
- The staircase pattern also provides cover from enemy fire
