Adjust Light Scattering Intensity for Your Playstyle

Access Shader Settings

Open the Iris shader options menu while in-game by pressing the key bound to shader settings (default varies by launcher). Look for the Vibroscat Shaders configuration panel.

Modify Scattering Parameters

Locate the light scattering or atmospheric section. You'll find sliders controlling how much sunlight spreads across the sky and landscape. Increase intensity to make sunbeams more dramatic and visible through clouds; decrease it for subtler, more realistic lighting.

Fine-Tune for Your Build

Adjust shadow depth separately if available—this controls how dark shadowed areas become around structures and terrain. Lower values preserve detail in shadows; higher values create stronger contrast.

Test and Save

Walk through different biomes and times of day to see changes in real-time. Pay attention to how light falls on your builds. Once satisfied, the settings save automatically. You can create multiple profiles if you want different looks for different worlds.
