Reduce Lag While Keeping Enhanced Lighting

Identify Performance Bottlenecks

Open the shader settings menu and look for options related to shadow quality, reflection detail, or dynamic lighting range. These are typically the most demanding features.

Disable Non-Essential Effects

Turn off any advanced lighting features you don't need: ambient occlusion, specular highlights, or extended shadow distance. Veyluma TorchLite is built to skip heavy effects by default, but optional enhancements may still be enabled.

Reduce the render distance for dynamic light calculations if available—this limits how far torchlight spreads through the world.

Optimize for Your Hardware

If using integrated graphics, disable any features marked as "high-end" or "demanding." Switch to lower quality presets if the shader offers them.

Reduce overall shader complexity by selecting a "lite" or "minimal" profile if available.

Monitor Frame Rate

Use F3 (or your performance overlay) to check FPS before and after changes. Veyluma TorchLite should maintain 60+ FPS on laptops; if you're below that, disable more features progressively until performance improves.
