Adjust Lighting Brightness in Your World
Access Shader Settings
Press the shader settings key (default: right-click on the shader name in your shader menu, or use the in-game shader options screen) to open the configuration panel. Look for brightness or exposure sliders.
Fine-Tune Lighting Levels
Locate the brightness control slider. Increase it to make torches, lanterns, and ambient light more prominent throughout your world. Decrease it if caves or indoor areas feel too washed out.
Adjust the torch brightness multiplier if available—this specifically controls how much light torches and similar light sources emit compared to vanilla.
Test Your Changes
Move between different lighting conditions: stand near torches indoors, then go outside at night and during day. The changes apply in real-time, so you can see results immediately.
If the world feels too bright or too dark after adjustments, return to the settings and make smaller incremental changes. Save your configuration once you're satisfied.
Performance Check
After adjusting settings, monitor your frame rate. Veyluma TorchLite is designed to maintain performance, but more aggressive lighting calculations may have minor impact on older hardware.
