Achieve a Vanilla-Like Look While Using Shaders
Load the Default Configuration
Open shader settings and select the "vanilla" or "minimal" preset if available. This disables most visual enhancements and keeps the game looking close to unmodded Minecraft.
Disable Color Grading and Filters
Turn off any color correction, saturation adjustments, or tone mapping. These features alter how colors appear; disabling them preserves vanilla appearance.
Keep Lighting Enhancements Subtle
Reduce brightness multipliers to near-vanilla levels. The goal is clearer lighting without dramatic changes. Torch light should be visible but not overpowering.
Avoid Reflections and Specular Effects
Disable water reflections, shiny surfaces, or any effects that make blocks look wet or metallic. Veyluma TorchLite skips these by default, but check settings to confirm they're off.
Verify Block Appearance
Load a world and compare how grass, wood, stone, and water look compared to vanilla. Blocks should retain their original colors and textures. If anything looks noticeably different, adjust the shader's saturation or color balance settings to match vanilla more closely.
