Make Water Crystal Clear for Underwater Building

Verify Water Clarity Settings

Veyluma Balanced's water transparency is enabled by default, but you can enhance it further. Open Shader Options and find Water Transparency or Water Clarity settings.

Increase Visibility Distance

Raise the Underwater Fog Distance slider to see farther beneath the surface. This is especially useful when building underwater structures or searching for aquatic resources. Higher values mean less murky appearance at depth.

Adjust Water Color

If water appears too tinted (greenish or brownish), look for Water Color Saturation or Water Tint options. Reduce saturation for clearer, more neutral-looking water. You can also adjust the hue slightly to match your world's biome aesthetic.

Reduce Caustic Intensity (Optional)

Caustics are the rippling light patterns on the water floor. If they're distracting while building, lower their intensity in the shader settings. They'll still add realism without overwhelming your view.

Test in Different Biomes

Swim to various water types—ocean, rivers, lakes—to see how your settings perform. Adjust until you achieve the balance between beauty and visibility you prefer.
