Use Special Characters and Formatting in Version Text

Understand Text Limitations

Version Changer Mod supports standard alphanumeric characters and common symbols. While the mod accepts most normal text input, some special Unicode characters or formatting codes may not render properly depending on your Minecraft font settings.

Add Symbols and Punctuation

You can include:

  • Hyphens, underscores, and periods
  • Parentheses and brackets
  • Slashes and colons
  • Common mathematical symbols

These appear exactly as typed in the version display.

Test Your Custom Text

After editing the config file with your desired text, launch the game and check how it displays in the main menu. Some character combinations may look different than expected due to Minecraft's font rendering.

Avoid Problematic Characters

If your custom text doesn't display correctly, try removing any unusual symbols or Unicode characters. Stick to standard ASCII characters for reliable results. If certain characters cause issues, simplify your version string and test again.

Save and Reload

Always save your config changes and restart the game to see the final result.
