Trading with Villagers in the Outpost

Identify Villager Professions

Each villager in the outpost has a specific profession tied to a workstation. Librarians work near lecterns and bookshelves, farmers near composters, clerics near brewing stands, and so on. Look for the workstation block near each villager to identify their trade type.

Initiate Trading

Right-click on any villager to open their trade menu. The interface shows what items they buy and what they offer in return. Villagers accept emeralds as currency and trade various items including enchanted books, tools, building blocks, and rare materials.

Optimize Your Trades

Bring emeralds or tradeable items to the outpost. Focus on librarians if you seek enchanted books—they offer the widest variety. Return to the same villagers repeatedly; their prices improve as you trade with them, eventually unlocking better deals and rare items unavailable elsewhere.
