Enable Frame Generation to Match Your Monitor Refresh Rate
Activate Frame Generation
Frame generation synthesizes extra frames between rendered frames, effectively doubling your output framerate without rendering every frame from scratch.
Steps:
1. Open Velvet Frames Engine settings
2. Find the Frame Generation toggle and enable it
3. Verify your monitor's refresh rate is correctly detected (usually shown in settings or system display properties)
4. Launch a world and observe framerate counter—you should see roughly double the rendered frame count
Verify Smooth Motion
Frame generation works best when your base framerate is at least half your target refresh rate. For example, if your monitor is 144 Hz, aim for at least 72 base frames per second before generation kicks in.
If motion feels stuttery or unresponsive after enabling frame generation, your base framerate may be too low. Reduce internal resolution further or disable demanding shader features (like volumetric lighting) to raise the base framerate above this threshold.
