Optimize Shader Performance on Lower-End Hardware
Reduce Shader Load
Velpix Shaders is designed for mid-range systems, but you can lighten the load further by disabling optional visual features:
- Disable or lower bloom effects
- Reduce shadow resolution or softness
- Turn off advanced water reflections if your device struggles
- Lower sky detail or animation quality
Adjust Minecraft Graphics Settings
Work alongside your shader configuration:
- Set render distance to a moderate level (10–12 chunks)
- Disable or reduce particle effects
- Lower entity shadows if enabled
- Use fast graphics mode in video settings
Monitor Performance
Use the F3 debug screen to watch frame rates while exploring different biomes and times of day. If performance dips, return to shader settings and disable the most visually intensive feature you can live without. Test changes in the same location for consistent comparison.
