Maintain Sharp Visuals While Using Bloom Effects

Why Bloom Can Soften Your World

Soft bloom around glowing items is beautiful, but it can make your overall view feel slightly blurry or washed out if not configured properly. Velocity Glide includes settings to keep bloom gentle while maintaining crisp scene clarity.

Adjust Bloom Without Losing Detail

Locate bloom intensity or glow strength in your shader settings. Reduce it slightly from default if you find bright areas feel too hazy. The shader also has a scene clarity or sharpness slider—increase this to counteract any softness from bloom. This combination keeps torches and lanterns glowing beautifully without sacrificing your ability to see block details clearly.

Optimize for Your Playstyle

For building and mining, prioritize clarity over bloom intensity. For exploration and atmosphere, you can afford stronger bloom. Test your settings in different lighting conditions: bright daylight, cave systems, and night skies. The goal is bloom that enhances without obscuring—you should always see block edges and textures crisply, even around bright light sources.
