Enable Vein Mining on Specific Tools
Setting Up Tool Compatibility
Vein mining doesn't activate on every tool by default. You need to configure which tools trigger the feature.
Steps
1. Open your mod configuration file (usually in .minecraft/config/ or your modpack's config folder)
2. Locate the Veinst Mod settings file
3. Find the tool whitelist or activation section
4. Add the tools you want to use for vein mining (pickaxes, axes, shovels, etc.) by their registry names
5. Save the file and restart your game
Testing Your Configuration
Once configured, mine a connected ore vein with your chosen tool. All connected blocks of the same type within the radius should break simultaneously. If nothing happens, verify:
- The tool is listed in your config file
- You're breaking a block that has connected neighbors of the same type
- The mod is actually loaded (check your mod list in-game)
If you want to disable vein mining temporarily without editing config files, check if the mod supports a keybind toggle—many versions allow you to hold a modifier key to mine normally instead.
