Adjust the Vein Detection Radius
Understanding Radius Settings
The detection radius determines how far the mod searches for connected blocks of the same type. A larger radius means more blocks are harvested at once, but may feel overpowered in survival.
How to Change It
1. Navigate to the Veinst Mod config file in your game directory
2. Look for a setting labeled radius, range, vein_size, or similar
3. Increase the number to detect blocks farther away, or decrease it for a smaller vein
4. Save and reload your game
Balancing for Your Playstyle
Consider your survival goals:
- Small radius (3-5 blocks): Feels more like traditional mining; good for long-term progression
- Medium radius (8-12 blocks): Balanced efficiency; recommended for most players
- Large radius (15+ blocks): Rapid resource gathering; better for creative building or modpacks with high material demands
Test different values to find what feels right. You can always adjust again if the mod feels too powerful or too weak for your world.
