Understand Which Blocks and Tools Support VeinMiner

Check Server Configuration

VeinMiner support depends entirely on your server's plugin settings. The client mod cannot enable vein mining for blocks or tools the server hasn't configured. Ask your server administrator which blocks and tools are supported, or test by attempting to vein mine different block types.

Test With Common Blocks

Start by holding a pickaxe and looking at ore blocks like stone or common ores. Enable VeinMiner and watch for the wireframe outline. If no outline appears, that block type isn't supported on your server. Try other block types systematically.

Verify Your Tool Matches

Even if a block type is supported, you may need the correct tool. For example, a pickaxe might work on ore but not on wood. The server controls these restrictions. If you're using the right tool but see no outline, the block simply isn't configured for vein mining.
