Prevent Specific Blocks from Being Vein-Mined

Why Blacklist a Block?

Some blocks—like valuable ores mixed with stone, or blocks that break slowly—might be better mined individually. VeinMine's blacklist lets you exclude them from vein mining.

Blacklisting a Block

1. Open your VeinMine configuration file

2. Find the blacklist section (usually near the top or bottom)

3. Add the block's registry name to the list

4. Use the exact format shown in existing entries (e.g., modname:blockname)

5. Save and restart your game

Finding Block Names

If you're unsure of a block's exact name, use the /give command or check the mod's documentation. Vanilla blocks use the minecraft: prefix (e.g., minecraft:diamond_ore).

Testing

After adding a block to the blacklist, try to vein-mine it with your keybind active. Only the single block should break, not the connected group.

Removing from Blacklist

To re-enable vein mining for a blacklisted block, simply remove its entry from the configuration file and restart.
