Maximize Efficiency When Mining Large Veins

Understand Vein Mining Limits

VeinMine has a configurable range—it only connects blocks that are adjacent to each other within that range. Very large, spread-out deposits may not all be captured in one action.

Best Practices for Large Veins

1. Start from the center: Breaking a block in the middle of a large vein often captures more connected blocks than starting at an edge

2. Use the keybind consistently: Always activate VeinMine when you want group mining; without it, you'll mine blocks one at a time

3. Watch for disconnected sections: If a vein has gaps or branches far apart, some sections may require separate mining actions

Combining with Other Tools

Pair VeinMine with efficiency enchantments or fast-mining tools to speed up the process further. Breaking blocks faster means less time spent on each vein.

Inventory Management

Large veins produce many items at once. Ensure you have adequate inventory space or use hoppers/collection systems to avoid dropping resources.

Checking Your Range Setting

If you feel like veins aren't being fully captured, your range setting may be too low. Increase it in the configuration file to connect more distant blocks.
