How to Mine an Entire Ore Vein in One Break

What Triggers a Vein Break

Vein Mining activates the moment you break a single ore block with any pickaxe. You do not need to sneak, hold a key, or apply an enchantment. As soon as the first ore block pops, the mod scans outward from that block and breaks every connected ore block of the same type. This means a full diamond vein can vanish in one swing if the blocks are touching.

Doing It Correctly

1. Find an ore vein and stand so you can reach at least one block of it.

2. Aim at any block in the vein and mine it normally with your pickaxe.

3. Watch the connected blocks of the same ore type break in a chain reaction.

4. Collect the drops — they scatter where each block was, so walk over the area to pick everything up.

Things to Keep in Mind

  • Only ore blocks of the same type chain together. A diamond block next to an iron block will not pull the iron along.
  • The vein must be physically connected. Ore separated by stone or dirt is treated as a separate vein.
  • Because everything breaks at once, bring enough inventory space. A large vein can fill several slots quickly.
  • If you only want one block, mine a block that is not touching any other ore of the same type.
