Apply Custom Color Themes to Visual Elements
Access Veil Lib's Color Management System
Veil Lib includes built-in color management that lets you define and apply custom color palettes across visual effects and UI elements. This system works across multiple mods that use Veil Lib as a shared base.
Define Your Color Palette
Create a color theme by specifying named colors (primary, secondary, accent, etc.). Store these in a configuration or JSON file that your mod or shader can reference. Veil Lib's color system lets you organize colors logically so they're easy to maintain and update.
Apply Colors in Shaders
Reference your theme colors directly in shader code. Instead of hardcoding RGB values, use named color uniforms that Veil Lib provides. This means you can change your entire visual theme by updating one configuration file.
Use Easing for Color Transitions
Combine Veil Lib's easing functions with color values to create smooth color transitions and animations. Fade between theme colors, pulse effects, or animate color-based visual feedback using the same easing curves that power motion animations.
